To start off with the good--I like the colors you used in this piece. The sunset colors especially look nice. I feel like you could have done more with the grass brushes--perhaps use darker colors to make them look grassy, but it still looks nice. I so like the way you shade--it looks soft and it's very appealing to look at.

To get to the critique part, though, the posing needs work. I can see what you *wanted* to do, which is nice. Your bodies lack a lot of structure and seem underdeveloped--they need more meat to them. The heads look comically large by comparison--I feel like the heads should be smaller while the bodies should be wider.

Driezan's pose actually looks nicer than Denzan's--it seems like you were much more comfortable drawing Driezan or drew him first. With Denzan, his arms seem too thick, too long, and remind me vaguely of spaghetti. o__O; Driezan's hand could use some work too.

Do you use references when you draw? If not, I'd recommend that you do--and if not, you can even pose in front of a mirror just to see how the body works. is a good place for poses, although and are very good as well.

You have a good eye for color--that's a nifty thing to have. You're also good with setting a nice tone and emotion for a piece--which is awesome. I hope to see you improve more and more!

I have problems with drawing profile views, and can never find anything good to use as some sort of reference- I'll look at the people you linked me to.

I was trying to make his jacket baggy like it's supposed to be- but I have problems with the folds which makes it look off.
I need references for the hand. I cannot, for the life of me, draw hands that are seen from the side. I just can't do it.

Nooo... I always forget that I can use the internets for help.
But there are a lot of times when I search "pose reference" and get sex sites. |DD;
And posing in front of a mirror doesn't work well for someone whose short term memory lasts about five minutes before forgetting everything. xDDD
